The lodge functions as a gathering place, event venue, and charitable engine all at once. The main hall is available for member meetings, private events, and community functions, with enough space to host groups of 30 or more in a comfortable, well-organized setting. Members interested in renting the space for outside events are encouraged to reach out directly to discuss availability and pricing.
On the program side, Elks Lodge #2653 participates in the broader network of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks initiatives, including scholarship programs for local youth, support for veterans and active military families, and holiday charity drives that benefit Bates County residents directly. Membership itself is the core offering: a community of people who show up for each other and for the town they call home.
New members are welcomed through the national Elks membership process. If you live in or around Butler, Missouri and want to get involved with an organization that does tangible good while building real friendships, this is a straightforward place to start.
